The fNIRS signal visualizer is an interactive tool to learn more about fNIRS. The visualizer is created by simulating linear combination of signals, including the cardiac signal, respiration, and low frequency oscillations. Haemodynamic responses can also be added and some pre-processing can be applied.

Disclaimer: This tool is intended as an educational tool only, and does not fully represent real fNIRS signals. Future developments will include more pre-processing options (including simulating motion artifacts and various correction techniques, more advanced GLM options, etc.) to provide a more comprehensive learning tool for students.

This tool is currently optimized for the desktop version, some features may not be fully functional on mobile, tablet or Safari browser.
